From Job Offer to Closing in 2 Weeks: A Jeffersonville Seller's Journey Despite Plumbing Issues
A Jeffersonville nurse needed to sell fast for a new job. Plumbing issues? No problem. Here’s how we closed in 2 weeks and gave the home a fresh start.

When life moves fast, selling your house shouldn’t slow you down.
That was exactly the case for a homeowner in a quiet Jeffersonville neighborhood filled with 1950s charm and big mature trees. He was a full-time nurse who didn’t spend much time at the house — and now, with a new job offer waiting on the East Coast, he needed to move fast.
The only problem? The house had issues.
When I met the seller, he was in a hurry. I kept it simple — asked a few questions as we walked the property. Turns out, he was shutting off the water at the street because of an unresolved plumbing problem. He didn’t know what was wrong, and more importantly, he didn’t have the time to figure it out.
He just wanted to get to his new job, and this house was becoming a loose end.
After a quick walkthrough, I told him I could put together an offer that same day if he had time. He said yes.
So I sat in my car, ran the numbers, and came back with an offer. I told him we could close in two weeks, and if he was already out of town, we’d set up a remote signing — no need to come back.
He looked over the contract and said yes on the spot. I paused and asked again, “Are you sure? I’m not here to twist your arm.”
He nodded. He was ready. We signed the paperwork that day.
This house was dated and needed more than just plumbing repairs. We reworked the supply lines, replaced the water heater, added a new roof, cleared out overgrown trees, and gave the entire home a full cosmetic refresh: new kitchen, updated bath, new paint and floors throughout, and a fresh exterior in modern slate blue.
Within 30 days of completing the rehab, the house sold to a new couple who were excited to call it home.
Not every house has to be “market-ready” to sell. And not every sale has to be complicated.
This one worked because the seller was clear on what he wanted — and we were ready to make it happen quickly.
Shoutout to Agency Title Inc for making the remote closing a cinch. When sellers don’t have time to come back to the closing table, having the r
ight team in place makes all the difference.
Don’t let repairs or paperwork hold you back from your next chapter. Whether you’re already out of town or just starting to plan a move, we can make it simple.
Let’s talk — no pressure, just options.
